Graham Heath Construction Joins the UK’s Call for More Skilled Subcontractors

Construction and engineering companies throughout the UK are reporting a massive shortfall in appropriately-skilled workers. Our sister company, Graham Heath Construction joins the throng with urgent requirements for subcontracting construction workers with steel erecting experience.

According to a recent article from Crystal News, a lack of skilled workers is having an impact on the UK’s productivity, with engineering companies reporting a shortfall of 55,000 skilled workers. The Open University has carried out research that estimates solving the skills shortage could generate a staggering £27bn a year by 2020.

Due to a huge surge in sales over the last few months Graham Heath Construction, is on an urgent look out for subcontractors with agricultural and industrial steel erecting experience.

Graham Heath of Graham Heath Construction comments: “Training and apprenticeship schemes have been taking place the length and breadth of the country for a number of years now, which we had hoped would lead to an increase in workers gaining the skills and experience to go out on their own in search of subcontractor work. However it appears that developing and sustaining digital skills has taken precedence in recent times.

“We are in the fortunate position to be able to offer people competitive rates on subcontracting work throughout the UK, so are calling for anyone that is willing and able to get in touch.”

With a requirement to work to all current health and safety legislation, as well as being able to travel nationwide, we offer very competitive rates of pay for anyone with steel erecting and cladding experience.
